The survival kit should include those elements that should help you survive.
You have to take into account some of the following to create a survival kit.
1 - It should be according to your environment and personal.
2 - as light, small and portable as possible.
3 - Waterproof, rugged, reliable
4 - Elements multipurpose and versatile. Some of them such as ignition systems, knives, etc duplicates.
5 - It can be used easily, even though you're injured, sick, weak or low hysterics.
6 - Elements easy to buy, repair or replace.
7 - Cash, this means try and check usage.
8 - Simple.
Traditionally the survival kit contains items that can save your life. The military experts have come to narrow the list to a few objects that often can be saved in a little thing like a can of snuff. We will not be so extreme, but we must remember that our survival elements should not be too many nor heavy.

6-    Elementos fáciles de comprar, reparar o sustituir.

7-    Efectivo, esto implica probarlo y comprobar su uso.

8-    Simple.  

Tradicionalmente el kit de supervivencia contiene objetos que pueden salvar tu vida. Los militares y expertos han llegado a reducir la lista a unos pocos objetos que a menudo pueden ser guardados en una cosa tan pequeña como una lata de tabaco. Nosotros no seremos tan extremistas, pero debemos recordar que nuestros elementos de supervivencia no deben ser excesivamente numerosos ni pesados.
